Seplat Energy Plc, foremost indigenous energy company, says Nigeria’s development will require significant improvements in access to energy. According to the Company, lower-cost, more reliable energy will drive job creation, prosperity and social development and achievement of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Seplat Energy Plc, foremost Nigerian indigenous energy company, has trained additional 50 journalists and media practitioners in Nigeria’s federal capital territory, Abuja as it concludes the third edition of its media training in line with the Company’s sustainability commitments. The media training programme was organized in partnership with Channels Academy, and had in attendance journalists/media practitioners in the energy, finance, capital market, judiciary, and general business beats.

Underscoring their unwavering commitment to community empowerment and sustainable development, NNPC Exploration and Production Limited (NEPL) and Seplat Energy Joint Venture (JV) celebrated the graduation of 69 participants from the 2023 Seplat Skills Acquisition Training Programme in Delta State.

The flag-off of the ‘Eye Can See’ programme in Imo State took place on September 19, 2024, at Full Moon Hotel in Owerri, marking a significant milestone in Seplat’s long-standing legacy of impactful healthcare outreach, which began in 2012. Since its inception, the initiative has, before now, reached over 105,000 Nigerians, performed 4,560 life-changing eye surgeries, and distributed more than 51,000 reading glasses—all with the aim of reducing preventable blindness, promoting early detection of eye diseases, and enhancing the quality of life for beneficiaries.
