Skill and experience

Charles joined Seplat in January 2021 with over 36 years’ experience across diverse sectors - Conglomerates, Oil & Gas and Manufacturing. He started his Career in 1986 as a Management Trainee with UAC (Unilever Group) serving in a number of roles prior appointment as Divisional Managing Director of Bordpak Premier Packaging – BPP.

In 1993, he joined Royal Dutch Shell serving in Nigeria, Netherlands and South Africa covering in a variety of roles including General Manager HR and HR Director Shell petroleum Development Company (SPDC). Most recently, he worked for Cummins Inc. in the role of Executive Director, Human Resources, Africa and Middle East based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Charles obtained Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Benin.

He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, London, and a B.A. (Hons) from the University of Calabar, Nigeria. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development, UK and Alumnus of Executive Education from INSEAD, Harvard and London Business School.
