Dr. Steve Ojeh

Director, Corporate Services, overseeing Corporate Services, comprising Human Resources, Business Services, and Information Technology. His responsibilities encompass aligning HR strategies with business goals, managing talent development, ensuring seamless delivery of essential services and IT infrastructure whilst ensuring compliance with employment law standards and regulations in Nigeria and the UK.
Skill and experience
Dr. Ojeh joined Seplat Energy in October 2021, bringing about 30 years of Human Resources Management experience across consulting, manufacturing, and oil & gas industries. His career spans Nigeria, Africa, Europe, and Asia, where he led key HR functional areas including Business Partnering, Talent Management, Total Rewards, Employee/Industrial Relations, Leadership Development and Change Management. Prior to joining Seplat, he served as Employee/Industrial Relations & Employee Communications Manager for Shell Companies in Nigeria – a company where he spent about 24years and also held several senior HR roles such as Business Partner Lead and Head of HR Policy and Remuneration.
He has held professional leadership roles including Chairman of the Rivers State Branch of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) and continues to play leadership roles in the institute at the national level. He is also a member of the leadership team of Nigeria Employers Consultative Association (NECA) and a Certified EAP Professional, Trainer, Speaker, and Coach.
Dr. Ojeh holds multiple degrees and qualifications, including a Doctorate in Social Sciences from the University of Leicester. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (UK), a Fellow of CIPM Nigeria, and the Chartered Institute of Mediators and Conciliators. Additionally, he is a Chartered Member of ADR Canada and has completed executive courses at Harvard Business School.
At Seplat Energy, Dr. Ojeh oversees Corporate Services, comprising Human Resources, Business Services, and Information Technology. His responsibilities encompass aligning HR strategies with business goals, managing talent development, ensuring seamless delivery of essential services and IT infrastructure whilst ensuring compliance with employment law standards and regulations in Nigeria and the UK.
He plays a crucial role in advancing Seplat Energy’s vision, driving operational excellence and cultural transformation, leading over 500 full-time and 150 contract staff. He joined the SLT in 2024.
