
Madame Nathalie Delapalme
Biography
Madame Delapalme is a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Directors of Maurel et Prom since 2011, and Chair of its ESG Committee. As such, she acted as an alternate to Maurel et Prom’s nominee, Michel Hochard, from 30 June 2014, until 18 July 2019, when she was appointed a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Seplat.
Madame Delapalme brings over 35 years of experience in public and global affairs with a strong focus on development and governance challenges, specifically in Africa. Between 1988-1995, then 1997-2002, she served as advisor to the Finance and Budgetary Commission of the French Senate, where she audited public policies. She was Advisor for Africa and Development to various Foreign French Ministers 1995-1997, and again 2002-2007, and then served as Inspector General of Finances at the French Ministry of Economy and Finance 2007-2010. She joined the Mo Ibrahim Foundation, which focuses on governance in Africa, in 2010, and is currently its CEO.
Experience
Over the last 15 years, she has served, or is still serving, as non-executive on the boards of various companies, non-profit organisations, and think-tanks, operating in, or focusing on Africa.
She graduated from Sciences-Po Paris/ Section Public Service- Eco III, and holds a DEA in Applied Economics (Development).
