Managing Elcrest subsidiary, focusing on maximising production from OML40.

Skill and experience

Pius joined Seplat in November 2013 and has over 28 years’ experience in the oil and Gas industry. He brought with him a broad range of expertise in subsurface, reservoir engineering and field development planning and execution including Well and reservoir management and surveillance, production optimization, reserves accounting, construction of dynamic reservoir simulation Models and utilization of simulation results in supporting field development programs. He built his skills from several senior positions held in Shell Petroleum Development Company in Nigeria, the Netherlands and Oman as well as with Saudi Aramco as Petroleum engineering Specialist.

With a background in Engineering, he is a COREN Registered Engineer and a member of the following professional bodies – Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE), Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers (NIMechE) and Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE). He also holds a master’s degree in business administration, MBA, from Imperial College, University of London, United Kingdom and attended several training courses both in Nigeria and abroad in Petroleum Engineering, Oil & Gas Fields Development Planning & Execution, Strategy and Leadership; Health, Safety and Environmental Awareness; Negotiation and Conflict Resolution; Asset and Project Management.

He was appointed as Elcrest Managing Director/CEO and to Elcrest Board on 15th August 2022 and brings to the Board his extensive expertise on field development planning and production optimization and resources management. Since joining Elcrest, he has led the company to deliver a steady growth in production from OML-40 Asset.
