Sapele Gas Processing Plant

The upgrade to Sapele Gas Plant is expected to be completed in 2024, increasing its capacity to 90 MMscfd and eliminating routine flares.

In 2023, we completed the procurement of equipment and delivery to site for the plant construction, significantly progressed engineering and other milestones to support expected completion of the plant in 2024. This represents a material component of our program to ending our routine flaring at Sapele. The project is expected to be completed in 2024, with Sapele’s processing capacity increasing from 60MMscfd to 90MMscfd. The upgraded facility will produce gas that meets export specifications, and the LPG processing unit module will enhance the economics of the plant, as well as ensuring that any gas flaring is eliminated.
