Overseeing the operations of Seplat East (OML53) and providing oversight for Seplat’s interests in OML56.

Skill and experience

Ibi-Ada currently serves as the Managing Director of SEPLAT’s East having joined the company in 2013. In SEPLAT she has worked in both operational and functional roles, most recently as Asset Manager West, Chief Reservoir Engineer SEPLAT and General Manager Subsurface. Prior to joining SEPLAT she worked for SHELL Nigeria in both Onshore and Deepwater reservoir engineering roles.

A technical professional with experience in both operations and studies, she has led technical and integrated teams in areas such as field development planning, definition and execution, Asset business and strategy planning (including budget and performance), annual reserves certifications, subsurface assurance processes and supply chain process optimization. In addition she has frequently served as technical lead for acquisition evaluations.

She holds a BEng in Chemical Engineering from the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and MSc in Process Technology from the University of Twente in the Netherlands with 18years of oil and gas industry experience.
Ibi-Ada is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE). She has published 5 SPE technical papers in subjects such as experimental design, field development planning and produced water disposal.
